World first Acousto-Optic Switch*** (AOS) developed by Russian Technological Association™ jointly with Light Management Group (USA Corporation; www.lmgr.net) is the computer-controlled programmable all-optical switch connecting the single input line with any of (2 - 1024) output lines according to input commands.

The AOS was designed to meet explosively growing needs of fiber-optical communication systems and can be used in existing and perspective fiber-optical network to provide all-optical access for large number of users to main fiber-optical line. Extremely small size, low switching time and very large number of switching channels make the AOS the best for local networks, especially, with STAR or HAB configuration. Unique special optics and electronics with intelligent software give the AOS incredible possibility to work with different switching protocols and to be used in different fiber-optic data transmitting networks, such as local network with different topology, all-optic internet, metro network, etc. The AOS design is flexible and allows the AOS to be customized (number of channels, wavelength, fiber type, etc.) for working in existing and upcoming fiber-optic communication lines.
